A division of the Israel Export Institute Consumer Goods Division, the Film and Television Department  was established to promote the local industry and expand its viewing audiences around the globe. The Department, which initially represented a small number of producers, production houses and distributing companies, has since evolved into a significant industry player and source of a significant contribution to the local film industry in particular and to Israeli culture at general.  The Film and Television Department has played a major role in expanding global viewers’ horizons by providing a glimpse of the unique lifestyle of the Middle East. With a wide variety of contemporary, thought-provoking and outstanding films and documentary films, the Israeli film industry has been awarded major prizes and praise by film festival judges, audiences and reviewers alike.
